A source told RadarOnline.com: 'Lamar has been talking to Liza in the last few weeks, and she has been a tremendous source of strength for him.'
Adding: 'Khloe was always insanely jealous of Liza and that is why Lamar distanced himself.
'He now recognizes that was a mistake.'

The basketballer shares with Morales daughter Destiny, 15, and son Lamar Jr., 11, along with a son named Jayden who tragically died of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome in 2006.
But the same insider claims that Lamar's daughter Destiny firmly believes that despite the reconciliation her parents are 'never' getting back together.
The teenager also commented on the breakdown of her father's most recent marriage.

On Friday Destiny wrote on her Ask.fm page, 'No one thought they were going to last, so honestly, who cares.'
When she was asked if she thought they were going to get back together, she wrote: 'I don't want it to happen anyway.'
She added, 'I have him all to myself now.'
Destiny also responded to a person advising her mother to get a lawyer so she could be the beneficiary of the NBA star's $10m life insurance policy: 'It's called a prenup and tybg for it.'
As Lamar gets closer to his ex Morales, Khloe, according to TMZ, is reported be building a romance with baseball star Matt Kemp.
The gossip site claims that things are indeed 'cooking' even though the 29-year-old's friends have insisted they're just friends.
'Khloe and Matt are in the early, early stages of a relationship and they're taking it really slow,' a source told the site.

The troubled NBA star’s deceased son Jayden would have celebrated his eighth birthday on Sunday, if he had lived.
