The Asaba edition of the show, the ninth in the series of the 10-week package of fun and entertainment to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the company held at the Orchid Hotel, Asaba and was attended by a mammoth crowd of fun seekers from the city and the adjourning towns
The night of jokes and music was opened by top Asaba-based comedian, Frank D Don. Then, Odogwu, who played a fast one on the crowd. SIM Card, 2CanTAlk and Osama were just as funny in their delivery. Their jokes centered around Igbo and Niger Delta mannerisms.
Funny Bone, dressed like a Boko Haram member, threatened to blow the crowd with comics If they did not applaud him. Once he got his way, he treated the crowd to his rich repertoire of jokes. The legendary Okey Bakassi, and many others joined the train.
Nigeria’s leading comedian, Basketmouth, who anchored the event, told the crowd”this is a way Globacom is saying a big thank you to all of you for your loyalty and support for the Glo brand in the last 10 years. The final edition of this season’s Glo Laffta Fest will hold this Sunday in Ibadan, Oyo State capital.
