He plays the selfish billionaire who changes his ways after befriending an orphan in the movie Annie.
And Jamie Foxx seemed to be enjoying himself as he filmed scenes for the modern retelling of the classic Broadway musical in New York on Friday.  
The charismatic 45-year-old actor was working on a scene where his character Benjamin Stacks, a revamped take on the traditional Daddy Warbucks role, was opening his 5000th mobile phone store.

Dressed in a dark suit and orange tie and holding a giant pair of scissors, Jamie looked every inch the successful businessman as he got to work.

 

His character played up to the crowd during the scene for the movie which has been filming in New York.

Quvenzhané  Wallis portrays the orphaned title character in the film who ultimately softens Warbucks’ heart as he tries to help her to find her parents.
Meanwhile, Quvenzhané was also spotted on set.

The 10-year-old actress was sporting the same outfit she has been shooting in for the past few days.
She wore a pink sweater, denim skirt and grey tights as she filmed a scene which saw her running down the street.

She also donned a pair of pink Adidas high-tops and also was lugging around a backpack with a purple furry animal attached to it. 
Quvenzhané at age nine became the youngest actress to be nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actress for her role in Beasts of the Southern Wild.

She recently appeared in Twelve Years A Slave, which features Paul Giamatti, Brad Pitt, Chiwetel Ejiofor and Michael Fassbender.
Annie is being directed by Will Gluck and has Jay-Z and Will Smith as producers.

Will's 12-year-old daughter Willow was originally cast for the main role of Annie, but she dropped out.
Co-starring Rose Byrne as Stacks' assistant and Cameron Diaz as the wretched Miss Hannigan, Annie is set for release on December 2014.

The original musical is based on the Harold Gray comic strip, Little Orphan Annie, which made its debut in 1924. The Broadway musical opened in 1977 and won seven Tonys. 
The feature film based on the musical open in theatres in 1982 and starred Aileen Quinn as Annie, Albert Finney as Daddy Warbucks and also featured Carol Burnett and Tim Curry in lead roles.
