And so she swapped designer evening gowns, for leggings and a hoody to drop her son Louis off at school in Los Angeles.
But even in work out gear, it was clear to see just how trim and toned this 49-year old really is.
Wonder woman: Sandra Bullock wears work out gear to take her son to school on Tuesday
Sandra covered her hair up with a baseball cap and covered her eyes with aviator sunglasses, while her little boy wore a cute T-shirt with a dinosaur riding a bicycle on the front.
It was a different story on Friday though, as Louis didn't seem as keen to go to preschool, clutching onto his mother as she tried to take him into the educational building.
But her adopted son may be getting more of his mother on a daily basis if she follows through with her plans to give up acting.
Timeless: Sandra looks flawless for a woman of 49, giving women half her age a run for their money
Trim and toned: The actress proves to be in tip top shape, especially after the training she went through for Gravity
In the October issue of Vogue, Bullock said: 'I don't want him to have pressures brought on by what I do. I will quit. I will leave. If I see whatever I'm doing affecting him negatively, I will pack up and move to Alaska.'
But soon, Sandra will be on the Gravity promotional tour again, this time heading to England for the BFI London Film Festival where the movie will have it's UK premiere.
A visual effects-heavy, 3D film Sandra was required to be suspended from 12 wires to simulate astronauts floating through a weightless environment.
The actress underwent a grueling physical-training regimen for the role too, wanting her character Dr. Stone, who in the film has undergone a personal tragedy, to look like 'a shell of a woman' - to 'strip almost everything that possibly made her a woman.'
