And Rita Ora made sure to show off her quirky fashion credentials to their full extent as she left the star-studded celebration of the brand's 25th anniversary wearing a wacky 90s-style suit on Sunday afternoon.
Looking positively traffic-stopping as she posed up a storm for photographs, the 22-year-old singer turned heads in an unusual monochrome sign-print shirt and matching turn-up trousers.
Fearless fashionista: Rita Ora made sure to show
off her quirky fashion credentials as she left the star-studded
celebration of DKNY's 25th anniversary wearing a wacky 90s-style suit on
Sunday afternoon
Model behaviour: The star had enjoyed a
triumphant day, which had seen her turn her hand from music to modelling
as she strutted her stuff on the catwalk to close the brand's New York
Fashion Week show
The British beauty completed her daytime look by injecting a touch of punk to her outfit with a pair of rock chick-inspired leather boots, while sheltering her eyes from the sun with a pair of funky round shades as she posed alongside Donna Karan herself.
Wearing her platinum blonde locks blow-dried to perfection in a voluminous bob, the Shine Ya Light hitmaker added a pop of colour to the ensemble with a slick of her signature pillar-box red lipstick.
The fashion pack are not easy to surprise, but the appearance of Rita closing the show at DKNY did just that.
The singer, who recently replaced her 'wifey' Cara Delevingne as the face of the label, strutted down the catwalk in a Nineties-inspired ensemble bearing the DKNY logo.

Posting a series of snaps on her Twitter and Instagram pages of her big catwalk moment, Rita revealed she had got her runway tips off none other than supermodel Karlie Kloss.
She wrote: 'Donna Karen your amazing. Closing the show for you was an honour THANK YOU! #NYCFW.' (sic)
'Yipeeeeeee thanks @karliekloss on the tips it all went out the window!!!'
No stranger to the spotlight, she showed little trace of nerves - despite sharing the runway with the likes of Kloss and Chanel Iman - striking a series of poses as she walked.
From music to modelling: Rita recently replaced
her 'wifey' best pal Cara Delevingne as face of the label, and seemed to
be having a hoot as she strutted her stuff on the runway
Grand finale: Rita Ora closed the DKNY catwalk show at New York Fashion Week today
Fashion Week high: The singer strikes a pose as she walks the runway
Surprise appearance: Miss Ora followed Karlie Kloss, who many had assumed was the last look of the show
And
her appearance certainly foxed some big industry names. Just prior to
her stepping out, Karlie Kloss had walked the runway - as a major model
name, many believed that to be the end of the show.
The CFDA tweeted: 'Pure gold. @karliekloss finale at @dkny #amazing #cfdanyfw [sic]'
And Fashionista.com had the same thought, tweeting: 'The one and only @karliekloss closing @dkny #dkny [sic]'

But then appeared Miss Ora and the Twittersphere was set alight once again.
Miss Ora was not the only famous face at the show, which boasted a front row including Kelly Osbourne, Anthony Kiedis and Bella Thorne.
Of course Donna Karan's diffusion line is always a hot ticket at New York Fashion Week - and this being the label's 25th anniversary made it all the more special.

The brand, which has always had streetwear vibe, upped the ante in honor of its birthday. Hoodies and baseball caps, overalls, statement sneakers, graffiti prints... there was not a Nineties theme that was not covered.
Even the slinky evening gowns, modeled by Karlie Kloss and Chanel Iman, had a minimalist Calvin Klein feel to them.
The DKNY logo was front and center on several of the looks - an indication of the logomania set to fill our closets next spring. Alexander Wang - another label that takes its lead from the Nineties also featured his brand name on multiple looks.
Sunshine-ready: Sneakers and visors lent a sporty feel to designs that were otherwise typical of DKNY
Nineties revival: Overalls, baseball
caps, graffiti prints and embroidered denim were all part of DKNY's 25th
anniversary collection
Lady of the hour: Designer Donna Karan receives a round of applause at the end of the show
