Rihanna ditches the girly dress she wore front row at fashion week

Give the girl credit for trying an outfit with a touch of traditional femininity once in a blue moon.
But twenty four hours after Rihanna was pictured at New York Fashion Week in an uncharacteristically demure dress, she had reverted to her experimental fashion type.
And the Umbrella singer looked much more at home in a pair of oversized, black leather dungarees - even ones that seem to give more than a small nod to fishermen waders.

She teamed the overalls with a black Nike hooded sweater and lace up ankle boots.
The 25-year-old Barbadian carried a grey bag over her left shoulder and kept her eyes concealed, despite the darkness, in shades.
Yet she seemed in good spirits as she left the Gansevoort Hotel in Manhattan's Meatpacking District, stopping to sign autographs for fans waiting outside.
She headed for JFK airport to catch a flight out of the city.

Rihanna was in town for the city's Fashion Week where her costume designer Adam Selman made a provocative catwalk show debut last Thursday.
Adam also lent his expertise to the star's inaugural River Island collection.
Speaking to MailOnline about his show, which featured heavy on the lingerie, he referenced his famous client.
'Rihanna is definitely a muse for me, it’s no secret, but I didn’t necessarily think of her when I was designing this,' he said.

Meanwhile Rihanna's second limited edition collection for the high street chain has launched exclusively online.
The pieces inspired by urban street wear will appear in selected stores this week.
'I literally designed everything I want to wear — exactly how I want to wear it,' she said in a promotional video.
