But on Saturday Victoria Beckham had somewhat of a reality check as she hit the beach in Malibu alongside her best friend Tana Ramsay.
Taking to Twitter the former Spice Girl shared a picture of the pair looking a little windswept as they sat beside a construction fence on grey looking sand, which she amusingly captioned: ‘I thought Malibu was supposed to be glamorous???? Check out the construction fence! X’
Life's not a beach: Victoria Beckham shared a picture of herself and Tana Ramsay on a very unglamorous beach in Malibu
Wearing a pair of denim shorts the 39-year-old is seen leaning back on her elbows as she sits seaside style on a towel.
Looking remarkably casual she is wearing a black T-shirt, with a grey hoodie while her hair is covered in a cap and she has a large pair of sunglasses on.
Her hair, which is usually styled within an inch of its life, instead looks a little bedraggled as it falls over one shoulder.
Close: Victoria has revealed in an interview with Australian Vogue that her family is more normal than people think
Beside her sits her best friend Tana, the wife of chef Gordon, who of course doesn’t look dissimilar opting for a pair of black leggings with a hoody and a black cap. However unlike the one-time Spice Girl she is more than happy to smile for the camera, as they sit surrounded by what is no doubt all of their children’s belongings.
The laid-back and casual image of Victoria comes as her most recent cover for Australian Vogue was released showing her usual glamorous style.
During the interview she insists that her family are just like any other, saying: 'By the time Brooklyn’s finally gone to bed, it’s all I’m fit for. Really, we’re much more normal than people think,'
Victoria, who is mother to Brooklyn, 14, Romeo, 10, Cruz, eight, and Harper, two, is more interested in spending time with her husband and kids than anything else, especially now that the famous footballer has retired.
'We’re all so proud of David,' said Victoria. 'Having supported him at clubs all over the world for the past 15 years and seen how he has been an inspiration not just to me and the children but also to millions of people, we are now just really excited at the prospect of spending more time as a family.'
But while she is keen for the brood to come across as normal, it has emerged that Victoria took a helicopter from the shoot so she could make it to Brookyln’s parents evening.
Editor of Australian Vogue Edwina McCann revealed that Victoria almost pulled out of the shoot because she had to be at the school by 5pm, reports the Daily Star.
Spilling the beans, she said: ‘In the end her people decided she could make the trip by chopper directly from the shoot if need be.’
Holiday: Victoria is currently in the States with her children during the summer holidays
