Lady Gaga puts on a side show in racy frock as she shoots Applause lyric video

She shocked onlookers as she stepped out on Monday wearing almost identical facepaint to what she wears on the cover of her new album ARTPOP.

And Lady Gaga pulled the same stunt on Tuesday, adding a racy touch with a revealing black frock.

The 27-year-old put on a side show with the dress, which from the side, left little to the imagination as she shot the lyric video for her upcoming single Applause on Monday night in West Hollywood.

The pop star showed off her slender frame in the fitted frock, which she paired with high-heeled black booties as she arrived at Micky's nightclub.

Gaga wore her dark hair in a high bun on her head, securing it with an unusual black ribbon that rested on her forehead.

Her makeup featured turquoise, yellow-gold and red splotches across her face to haunting effect.

Gaga was clearly excited to shoot the video, which is set to premiere later this week.

'I will definitely NOT be at Micky’s tonight, and I will definitely NOT expect you there to be in my lyric video,' she tweeted earlier in the day. 'I’M SERIOUS LA MONSTERS, ITS NOT LIKE I WILL BE HOPING YOU ARE THERE WITH YOUR APPLAUSE MAKEUP READY TO DANCE FOR ME AND WATCH DRAG.'

She also just released a brand-new promotional video called Lady Gaga Is Over: A Film by Haus of Gaga, which features the songstress seemingly naked wearing an unusual headpiece as she stares at the camera.

Words such as 'Lady Gaga is no longer relevant' appear on the screen, before a caption that says, 'DO NOT buy her new single on iTunes.'

The Poker Face crooner is set to make her big-screen debut as 'La Chameleon' in Robert Rodriguez's sequel Machete Kills, due out October 4.
Her fourth studio album ARTPOP is due out November.
She'll sing her new track Applause at the MTV Music Awards - airing live August 25 - which will be her first performance since having hip surgery in February.
