Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi put sprawling California on market again for $11m after slashing millions off the price

They listed their horse ranch for $14.9 million in 2011 only to remove it from the market months later.
Now Ellen DeGeneres and wife Portia de Rossi have re-listed their property in the posh Hidden Hills area of Los Angeles County, California at a marked down price of $10.995 million.
The 26-acre spread is a horse lover's dream tucked into the foothills of the Santa Monica Mountains with access to cool breezes coming from the nearby Malibu beaches.

The impressive property, which the couple purchased in 2009, a year after they said 'I do,' includes eight cottages renovated with the help of interior designer Jay Holman using a lot of white, grey, taupe and earth tones.

Perhaps as a precursor to the recent listing, the horse ranch was featured in a gorgeous photo spread in the May issue of Elle Decor.

The cottages boast upgraded bathrooms and kitchens that feature modern appliances, wood and polished concrete floors, vaulted beam ceilings, and plenty of decks and terraces that provide ample views of gently rolling countryside.

Ellen, 55, and 40-year-old Portia's rustic home of course features many horse-related buildings and riding rings.

Beyond that it also has a tree house and quaint windmill, a string of large barns with heated concrete floors and kitchen space.

All in all, it's an entertainer's dream if one plans to have dozens of people over at a time.

There's also a screened yoga pavillion where yoga enthusiast Portia loved to put in her sessions of meditation and relaxing postures.

While there doesn't appear to be a swimming pool in sight, there's plenty of room to install one.

There's also a tennis court and basketball hoops for sports enthusiasts.

Perhaps the reason for the real estate flip lies in the fact that, earlier this year, Ellen and Portia plunked down $26.5 million on an estate in Santa Barbara, California, about a 90-minute drive north of Los Angeles.

The talk show host has previously owned two horse ranches in recent years, both in picturesque Santa Ynez Valley, California, and both sold after less than two years of ownership.
