And if Eddie Murphy's new girlfriend Paige Butcher is getting bored of it, she certainly isn't showing it.
But perhaps it's the actor's gallant efforts that make it all the worth while, as the Beverly Hills Cop star showed off his gentlemanly side as the couple left a Coffee Bean in Studio City on Tuesday.
After picking up a piping hot coffee for the 52-year-old actor and two flavoured ice drinks for his 34-year-old ladylove, Eddie opened up the car door for his beloved blonde beauty.
Once hoping into the black Roll Royce Phantom, the tall Ford Model - born Jacinta - flashed the actor an appreciative smile.
Even as the couple made their way back to the luxury ride from the coffee shop, Eddie had his hand placed tenderly on her back.
Carefully guiding her through the car park, Eddie made sure he was not far from his ladylove's side.

And it's no surprising, as she looked leggy and lovely in a pair of tiny denim shorts teamed with a beige and black tank top featuring a cross design.
The Australian model also accessorised with a pair of flip flops and Wayfarer sunglasses.
Pulling her blonde hair back into a ponytail, Paige also showed off her flawless skin.
Meanwhile, Eddie dressed in an all-white Adidas tracksuit, consisting of tracksuit pants and a short sleeve top.

He also donned Adidas trainers and a pair of mirrored sunglasses.
The couple met on the set of Big Momma's House 2.
Paige previously dated hip-hop mogul Russell Simmons and model Tyson Beckford.
Murphy has his fare share of exes having fathered seven children with four different women, including Spice Girl Mel B, whom he was forced to pay millions in child support.
The actor was in good spirits during Tuesday's outing, no doubt due to the news that he has recently been enlisted by Paramount Pictures to reprise his role as Axel Foley in what will be the fourth Beverly Hills Cop picture, as reported by Deadline.
Ironically, the film reboot was inspired by the positive reaction to the Beverly Hills Cop pilot, which was produced by Sony Pictures TV but was also backed by Paramount as the rights holder.
That almost certainly would have been a win for Paramount, which is currently restarting TV production at the studio.
Yet Murphy can only be pleased with the outcome - even though he made a well-received appearance in the pilot, he was not cast to lead the show.
It also stands to be seen whether a new film will drum up the same financial success enjoyed by the first three Beverly Hills Cop pics, which were directed by Martin Brest, Tony Scott and John Landis, respectively.
Paramount is also figuring out what to do with its planned sequel to 1986's Top Gun, which was to be directed by Scott but has been on hold since his high-profile suicide.
Perhaps in a trend of stars revisiting retro hits, Tom Cruise was slated to star in that sequel.
The production schedule for Beverly Hills Cop 4 is equally unclear, but trilogy fans will no doubt be chomping at the bit to hear that unmistakably catchy theme song one more time.
