Close to 3.3million tickets will be available for the tournament, costing between £58 to £632 (for the final) at Rio's Maracana Stadium.
There are 64 matches in the tournament and FIFA believe there will be a similar demand for them to at the 2006 World Cup in Germany, which saw around seven applicants for every ticket.

Applications made before October 10 go into a random selection draw, with left-over tickets going on sale on November 5 on a first-come first-served scheme.
The draw is made for the World Cup before tickets go back on sale on December 8, again on February 28, and finally again on April 15.
