Sandra Bullock embraces her exotic side as she wears tie-dye dress and red flower in her hair for school run

As one one of the most famous actresses in the world she already stands out wherever she goes.
But Sandra Bullock made more of an impact than usual on Friday as she headed out with a huge red flower in her hair.
Clearly not worried too much about blending in, the 49-year-old embraced her exotic side in the tropical-inspired ensemble.

Looking like she should be laying on a beach somewhere rather than doing the school run in LA, the actress strolled down the street in the vibrant outfit.

The usually casual star had clearly put a lot of effort into her daytime look, seeming keen to make sure that she stood out.

Clearly wanting to mix things up in the style stakes, Sandra ditched her typically low key attire for something a little more dramatic.

And keeping the holiday theme going through the rest of her outfit, she wore a loose-fitting tie-dye dress, looking perfect for the warm weather.

She accessorised with a large pair of retro-style white sunglasses and carried a paper fan in one hand, obviously trying to keep as cool as possible.

The star is regularly spotted picking up her little one Louis form kindergarten, but usually tries her best to go as incognito as possible.

Sandra revealed she was thankful recently for her previous dedication to working out and strengthening her core due to the demands of her new cutting edge sci-fi flick Gravity.

The 48-year-old, who stars opposite George Clooney, plays an astronauts clinging to survival after a routine mission goes array.

The film required both actors to by strung up on cables to simulate space for hours a day.

'I was a dancer growing up, and I used my dance training to keep my core strong for such a demanding role,' Sandra said at last week's Comic-Con.

'They had me strung up on wires for eight to nine hours a day. If you were in pain, either use it or I learned how to meditate.'
