The German champions also face Sao Paulo tonight, with the winning sides playing each other in the final tomorrow and the losers contesting a play-off for third and fourth.
Sadly Mario Balotelli, who left City for the Italian side last year, will not be available as he has only just returned to training following the Confederations Cup.
Man City 3-0 AC Milan
Man City: Hart, Richards, Lescott, Garcia, Fernandinho, Yaya Toure, Silva, Navas, Dzeko, Jovetic.Goal: Silva 4, Richards 19, Kolarov 22.
AC Milan: Amelia, Antonini, Zaccardo, Vergara, Constant, Traore, De Jong, Muntari, Boateng, Petagna, El Shaarawy.
GOAL! (Kolarov)
GOAL! (Richards)
16m: Jovetic set up Yaya Toure on the edge of the box, but the Ivorian's piledriver is high, wide and certainly not handsome.
12m: Nearly 2-0 to City! Kolarov's vicious low ball in flicks off of Jherson Vergara's standing leg and flashes just past the far post. Corner kick from Navas... which is too deep for everyone.
The defender who signed for AC Milan at the end of the close season has been shaky so far - he played Silva onside for the first goal.
11m: Still all City. The two strikers, Jovetic and Dzeko, are playing well as a pair - always looking for their partner's runs.
8m: Jovetic is played in down the right but squeezes his shot inches wide from a tight angle. City on top so far.
4m: GOAL! (David Silva) Brilliant play by new boy Stevan Jovetic to cushion a deep cross from Navas down into Silva's path, for the Spaniard to roll home with ease. Milan were more than half-asleep there.
3m: Not much going on so far. Neither team is playing in their home kit though which is never nice to see. City in a little black number, and Milan in their white away strip.
KICK-OFF
5.15pm: Games in America NEVER seem to start on time. This one is no different. The teams are still getting themselves together.
5.12pm: Pellegrini claimed City have the best collection of strikers in the Premier League - and sitting on the bench today are Sergio Aguero and Alvaro Negredo.
5.10pm: Mario Balotelli, who was involved in the Confederations Cup, has only just returned to training so will not be featuring today.
5.07pm: A message of support from Azim Nawaz on the email. 'City all the way for me mate, cheers,' he said. Thanks Azim.
5.04pm: Two strong looking teams - it's easy to imagine City will line up a fair few times in the Premier League looking like this.
4.58pm: Good afternoon and welcome to Sportsmail's coverage of the Audi Cup. Facing AC Milan will be the first tough test of Manuel Pellegrini's reign as Man City boss.
