Backstage with Beyonce! Queen B gives fans a glimpse behind the scenes with new photos

She carefully controls her image, only allowing selected photos released from her shows.
But Beyonce has given fans a treat by sharing a series of shots showing what she gets up to backstage on her Tumblr blog.
This being the Queen B the black and white images are of course highly stylised, showing the singer with her dancers, gazing into a mirror and having her make-up applied.

Her hair is bleached in an ombre style, and worn curled and loose. The shots variously show Beyonce sitting microphone in hand between sets, in full Sasha Fierce mode onstage, and clad in a robe meeting delighted young fans after the show.

Images also shows the excitement front of house, as fans gather ahead of the show in Boston.

Beyonce is currently on tour with The Mrs Carter Show.

Meanwhile a spokeswoman for the star has dismissed reports her next album has been delayed because she lacks direction.

It came after a report in The Hollywood Reporter that Beyonce had shelved more than 50 tracks after deciding she was unhappy with the album's direction.

She had been recording the tracks while on tour but is said to have failed to establish a theme for the work, leading to anxiety for her label Columbia.

'Beyonce has had some of the biggest hits of our format, and we're ready for the next, Tom Poleman, president of national programming at Clear Channel, told THR.

But her representative insisted that Beyonce had never given a release date for the album and was not behind schedule.

Beyonce's last album, 4, was released in 2011 and was her lowest selling to date, shifting 1.4m copies.
