He shot to fame as the face and body of Polo Ralph Lauren and has bagged himself a coveted judging spot on the current series of Britain and Ireland's Next Top Model.
And Tyson Beckford proved exactly why he is perfectly equipped for the role as he stepped out shirtless in New York City on Tuesday.
The 42-year-old model showed off his buff body in all its glory as he stripped off to just a pair of white shorts to bask in the summer heat.

Flaunting his washboard abs, impressive six-pack and bulging biceps, the hunky star would have no doubt left female passers by feeling more than a little flustered thanks to his appearance.
Stripping off to reveal his extensive collection of tattoos, Tyson wore just a pair of belted shorts, while his Calvin Klein boxer shorts poked out about his waistband.
The model completed his daytime look with a pair of eye-catching red and white Nike trainers and a red watch as he wandered through the streets.

But the star has admitted staying in tip-top shape takes a lot of dedication.
Speaking in an interview with Cosmopolitan magazine, he said: 'You can get a new phone or new trainers but you’ve only got one body so you have to look after it.

'I don’t smoke, or drink a lot of alcohol, and I train almost every day.'
During his stint on Britain and Ireland's Next Top Model, Tyson has grown increasingly close to fellow judge Dannii Minogue, with the singer even referring to him as her 'hubby'.
A source recently told Closer magazine: 'Dannii and Tyson have got everybody talking. They have the same sense of humour, make each other laugh and are definitely becoming closer by the day.'

However, Tyson is still very much together with supermodel girlfriend Shanina Shaik, while Dannii's spokesman denied the pair were anything more than good friends.
He told MailOnline: 'Tyson has a long term girlfriend who Dannii has met. She’s an Australian Victoria's Secret model called Shanina Shaik and they’ve been dating for several years. We don't comment on Dannii's private life.'
Minogue has been single since splitting from Kris Smith, the father of her two-year-old son Ethan, last year following a three-year romance.
