For sexy actress, Stephanie Linus-Okereke who has kept a very low profile after she got married last year, it is payback time for her hard work.
The actress recently received an award at the Montage Africa Women of Excellence Awards (MAWEA) for ‘Excellence in Drama and Entertainment’. The award was in recognition of her courage and commitment in producing a movie about women titled, “Dry” which highlights a topic that is largely considered a taboo-Vesico Vaginal Fistula.
“Dry” journeys into the heart-wrenching details of a culture not too many films dare to explore. The issue might seem controversial, but if it will set one girl free and open the minds of the people, and also instruct different bodies and individuals to take action, then the movie would have served its purpose.
