Liverpool to demand official transfer request if £50m rated Suarez wants to follow Carroll out of Anfield exit

Liverpool will demand Luis Suarez provides written confirmation of his intention to leave in an attempt to swiftly resolve the saga over his future.

The Uruguay international, who is currently playing at The Confederations Cup, has given several interviews about his desire to quit Anfield this summer but, as yet, he has not informed Liverpool's senior figures.
If Suarez is going to be sold to Real Madrid, as he desires, Liverpool will expect him to submit an official transfer request, while they would also want to recoup a fee in the region of £50million. As yet, Madrid have not made a formal bid for the 26-year-old.

Liverpool are still making plans for next season as though Suarez will be around but, realistically, they know it will be difficult to keep him after all that has happened during the past month.
It is for that reason the club want the issue put to bed as quickly as possible, as it would not be in the interest of either party for the uncertainty to drag on towards the start of the new Barclays Premier League campaign.
Manager Brendan Rodgers, whose only signing so far has been Kolo Toure, wants to add goals to his team and Liverpool expect to receive international clearance in the next 24 hours to complete the signing of Celta Vigo striker Iago Aspas.

Aspas is expected to be followed in by Sevilla winger Luis Alberto, while talks are at advanced stage to complete the signing of Sunderland goalkeeper Simon Mignolet. His switch, which is set to cost in around £10million, could be ratified by the end of the week.
Andy Carroll's drawn-out departure, meanwhile, is expected to be finalised before the end of the week. The England striker, who has been away on holiday, agreed personal terms late last month after West Ham met Liverpool's £15million valuation. All that is required is for him to pass a medical.
