Fenerbahce footballer Raul Meireles and his wife show off their tattoos on Miami holiday

It seems Miami is the place to be for Portuguese footballers, as Fenerbahce player Raul Meireles journeyed to the States for his holidays, just like his national squad teammate Cristiano Ronaldo.
But while the Real Madrid player showed off his clean, cut and chiseled physique on a luxury boat, Raul, 30, displayed his vast amount of tattoos on the beach.
The former Chelsea player was joined by his wife of Ivone Viana, who sported just as many inkings as her illustrated husband.

Meireles has been a fan of tattoos since he was 18 years old and has since had images of his wife and and daughter permanently drawn onto his skin.
On his back, there is a large tattoo of a black and red Chinese-style dragon, drawn in two stages, that covers the entire area from shoulder to waist, and, he also has a huge necklace tattoo with a skull, inked just after his 28th birthday.
Raul had recently got some new inkings, seen on his left leg, which include a tram car, a flower and what seems to be Torre de Clerigos, the tallest ecclesiastical tower in Porto.

The latter tattoo is a tribute to his hometown, where Raul played before moving to England to join Liverpool FC in 2010.
But the Portuguese footballer soon headed to Chelsea to work under the new Blues boss Andre Villas-Boas - now at Tottenham Hotspur - who managed Meireles at Porto, where he became the youngest manager ever to win a European title.
In 2012, Raul made an £8 million move to Turkish giants Fenerbahce, where he linked up with former Liverpool team-mate Dirk Kuyt.

His wife Ivone has been with him since he started out as a young player at Boavista Football Club.
It was several years before they married, where on the day, their wedding doubled up as a Christening for their only daughter Lara.
The Portuguese midfielder arrived into Florida with his wife on Tuesday after playing with his national team mates in a World Cup qualifier against Russia in Brazil.
They managed to secure a 1-0 victory over Fabio Capello's side - who had been undefeated so far in their category - and now the Portugal squad sit at the top of Group F, and in a good position to go straight through to the World Cup next year.
