Genevieve Nnaji Gets Marriage Proposal

And when it finally came, the marriage proposal was made in the open, on the red carpet of the premiere of Beasts of No Nation that was held on Saturday, December 12 at Silverbird Cinema, Lagos.

Guess who proposed to the 38 year-old actress? It was none other than former finance minister Dr Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala’s son, Uzodinma Iweala who is an author of the book from which he movie Beasts of No Nation was adapted.

Uzodinma made a mock proposal to Genevieve in the full glare of all in the manliest way while cameras were clicking away. The star actress couldn’t but gush away while he knelt down in front of her.

Uzodinma later shared the picture on Instagram

He captioned it: “She didn’t say yes, but she didn’t say no either. Thank you to @genevievennaji for supporting #beastsofnonation. Your presence means so much.”
The long-awaited movie Beasts of No Nation, starring Idris Elba and Abraham Attah, premiered on Saturday, December 12 at the Silverbird Cinema, Victoria Island, Lagos.
The ceremony had a number of dignitaries in attendance. The after-party held at the Scarlet Lodge, Victoria Island.
